What’s the short story behind the transformation of this building / property?

This beautiful urban home was built in the late 1800’s and was first used as a warehouse to store cotton coming from out of sea to the port of Montreal. Along the years, it was also used as a leather factory. The last known owner was a wood carver.

The property was recently renovated using mostly recycled materials and the result is stunning: its structural wood beams on the ceiling and its grand staircase give a majestic look to the house. The “garage” space is unbelievable – it is almost half of the house and opens up on a large and quiet park. It offers a perfect space for an artist, a professional or simply a family wanting a lot of space in the city. The rooftop potential is out of this world imagine a huge private terrace where one can create its own retreat.
