No Montreal startup represents the spirit of ambition and the community generosity more than Frank & Oak. In fact, It is safe to say now that they graduated from startup status to great Canadian company. Earlier this week we were invited to celebrate a new milestone: The opening of their first flagship store downtown Montreal. A 5200 sq/ft retail space on 3 floors that comprises a coffee shop by Café Névé, a barbershop and a lounge bar for special events.
The entrance to the store is highlighted with a distinctive art installation designed by local lighting design studio Lambert & Fils and the art murale was comissioned to LNDMRK.
“With mobile and online shopping seamlessly integrated in-store, customers will be able to access their past order histories and online style profiles, while receiving complementary appointments with style advisors in a dedicated lounge for personal styling appointments.”
On the second floor, the shopping experience also includes the Cherc’s Barbershop, where 4 barber chairs wait for you to be comfortably seated before they freshen up your hair game and groom you. All under the creative direction of the great Simon Chercuitte.

The store was designed through a collaboration of Frank & Oak’s in-house team and KANVA, a Montreal-based design studio. “This collaboration is an outgrowth of Frank & Oak’s desire to challenge retail conventions and create integrated experiences, enabled by technology, but shaped by their local contexts,” notes Rami Bebawi, Principal architect at KANVA.
